AMANDA WHITACRE, PhD.
We expect that this is the last time you will have to search for a new therapist. With individuals of all ages, Dr. Whitacre and her team engage in a joint effort toward symptom relief and self-actualization. Her intention is for clients to look forward to coming to therapy and to feel supported and guided in the journey.
Dr. Whitacre combines a traditional approach of closeness and connection with a decade of psychological expertise and cutting-edge research. Her academic studies at Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University, along with her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology, have helped her to bring back what treatment once was: comprehensive, caring, informed, and individualized.
Former clients have expressed that they feel she is “deeply genuine,” “empathic,” and “passionate” about her therapeutic journey with you. She makes a commitment to examine clients as whole beings, rather than solely through the lens of their symptoms.
Dr. Whitacre places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship—and works to help you outgrow your past and thrive in your present. Together, you can unleash an enhanced, enlivened version of yourself.
